Hebrews 4:12-13 12. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769. When the truth is spoken or written it has the uncanny ability to cause one of two things to happen. 1. It falls on deaf ears. 2. It causes one to take offense at what was said. When one takes offense at what is spoken or written, then this is a strong indication that what was spoken or written has struck a cord. In such situations, one should consider what has happened within one's ownself. Why did they take offense? Is there something deep within that has never been dealt with? Something they are afraid to bring to light? If the truth "has been" spoken or written why do they take offense and not consider that there is something to be learned? If the truth "has been" spoken or written, why do you not believe? If the truth has not been spoken or written, then why do you take offense? Truth, spoken or written, always cuts to the core. Well did the prophet say, "They have eyes to see, but do not see. They have ears to hear, but do not hear. If they had seen with their eyes and heard with the ears, then they would understand and be healed." Choose this day whom you shall serve. Serve God, you shall live. Serve man, you shall die. This is the promise of God since the beginning of timeBack
