"Christ" - in your 'Christ'mas


Oh Holy Child of virgin birth-

Sent by the Father to a sinful earth-

A Saviour -Jesus Christ - God's Son -

Messiah - long awaited One!

Lord of Lords and King of Kings

"Salvation" the precious gift of God He brings!

Such love -how can we understand

This love - this mercy - from the Fathers hand?

We cannot comprehend it all -

This tiny Babe in a cattle-stall

Born so long ago at Christmas time-

To pay the price of your sins and mine

But in our hearts we know it's real -

Our souls rejoice - and the joy we feel,  

Breaks forth in praise as we shout and sing  

Hosannas to our Glorious King.  

Oh Living, Loving, 'Word of God'  

Your holy feet this earth have trod.  

You loved us, led us, healed and taught us  

With Your precious blood You bought us.  

You gave Your life that we might live  

To You oh Lord our hearts we give.  

In adoration lift up His name  

This Christmas day - let Jesus reign!  

May every heart all over earth -  

Rejoice with thanksgiving for our Saviour's Birth!
